CALL FOR COLLABORATION: PHANTASIA EXHIBITION 2025

Project Overview

Phantasia Interactive Exhibition invites emerging & established creators - Industrial Designers, Creative Technologists, Set Designers, Carpenters, Experiential Designers and Builders - to participate in our inaugural interactive exhibition curated by Rubiat Fusigboye in downtown Toronto.

We seek works that embrace and reveal the messy reality of the creative process. This interactive exhibition celebrates the raw beauty of experimentation, iteration, and growth. Our goal is simple: create an environment where both contributors and visitors can explore freely, play with possibilities, and leave with renewed creative confidence and less fear of failure.

Key Message

Creativity is a journey of experimentation, not a destination - embrace the process of play, discovery, community and growth without letting setbacks define your creative identity. In this garden, there are no failed experiments - only fertile soil for future growth.

Problem statment

Creatives often abandon playful exploration due to fear of judgment and pressure for perfection, leading to creative blocks, self-doubt and burnout.

What can we do about that?

How might we create interactive experiences that help creatives rediscover playful artistic practices beyond the need for external validation?

Develop New Installation As Individual or Team Lead

Creatives are called to submit and produce original concept proposal. We welcome proposals that transform creative concepts into engaging experiences. You can choose to work independently or build a team, with the option to be matched with collaborators who complement your vision.

As project lead, you'll guide the creative direction, manage development timelines, and coordinate resources. Your role includes shaping the concept from initial proposal through to final installation.

Selection Process

Projects will be selected based on artistic merit, feasibility, and their interpretation of the Digital Garden theme. Strong visual elements and contemporary art practices should be central to all proposals. We encourage submissions from individual artists, collectives, and interdisciplinary collaborations between artists, researchers, and creators.

Funding Opportunity

Selected projects may receive an artist honorarium and material funding support. All applicants must be based in the Greater Toronto Area.
